David is Founder and Managing Director of Oxy-Gen Combustion. He is an Enterprise Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and in 2008 was awarded the Shell Springboard Award for Low Carbon Technology (Northern Region).
David's background is in mechanical engineering. It was as an undergraduate at the University of Dundee, Scotland, that he invented the enabling HCCI technology.
He has maintained strong links with the University of Dundee where, as a student, he was a finalist in the Scottish Institute for Enterprise National Business Plan competition and was nominated for an Outstanding Young Person of the Year award.
He has a passion for the automotive industry, sustainable technology, and the environment.
John is Oxy-Gen's Chief Operations Officer with a background in management and consultancy. He has been a consultant for numerous successful ventures in the engineering sector and was a regional Innovation Manager for Scottish Enterprise.
His previous board roles include seven years as Managing Director of Kestrel Marine Group, General Manager
of Ortec UK, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Focus Development Laboratories.
